Katherine was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba but she has lived in Calgary almost her entire life. She has been a teacher at Paddle Prairie School for three years now and is currently teaching grade 1 & 2. Katherine says that her favorite part of teaching is the students. Getting to know them, interacting with them and being part of their journey as they follow their curiosity. It is also being part of the lightbulb moments when they accomplish something that was challenging for them.
In her spare time, Katherine enjoys spending time crocheting, baking, completing jigsaw puzzles, hiking, and playing with her cats.
